The Joy of Wrestling

I absolutely love photographing wrestling, although I’m not a huge fan of the sport itself. It’s definitely in my top three sports to photograph. I am one of a few photographers who I’ve heard that enjoys it, which is interesting. I’m not quite sure why other photographers don’t enjoy it but I think it’s fun to wait for that moment when limbs intertwine into something visually interesting. It’s like shooting abstract art in sports. There have only been a couple matches that I’ve photographed this season, but here are some images I enjoyed.
